Traffic Signal On Winfield Road Modified For Safety
Motorists will now have to wait for a green arrow to turn left onto Warrenville Road.

WARRENVILLE, IL -- Officials in Warrenville are hoping a particularly tricky traffic turn will become less dangerous after its traffic signal was modified Tuesday. The intersection of Winfield and Warrenville Roads will now only allow left turns onto Warrenville Road with a green arrow signal, according to an update on Facebook.
The change impacts traffic heading north and south on Winfield Road. Warrenville officials say the road is "awkwardly aligned" and makes it hard for drivers to see oncoming traffic when turning left onto Warrenville Road.
The announcement of the modified traffic signal seemed well-received on Facebook, where residents commented that it was "about time" and thanked the DuPage County Division of Transportation for making the intersection "safer for everyone."
