Train Vs. Car Crash Temporarily Closes Crossings In Wheaton
Police say the crossings were reopened just after 2 p.m.

WHEATON, IL — A train hit a car at the West Street crossing in Wheaton Thursday afternoon, causing closures at multiple crossings. The crash, which took place around 12:30 p.m., temporarily closed the West, Hale, and Main Street crossings, along with the Wheaton Avenue crossing.
The train crossings were all reopened just after 2 p.m.
Police say the driver of the car sustained minor injuries. All train traffic was stopped and motorists were advised to use the Manchester Road overpass to get across the tracks.
