Trapped Ducklings Rescued After Falling In Storm Sewer In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL -- Six little ducklings were rescued by Wheaton Public Works employees after they falling into a storm sewer Wednesday. The ducklings were spotted by employees in the city's Town Square Shopping Center, who alerted city authorities for help.

When city workers got to the scene, they first located the ducklings and then began a plan to get them out safely.

The workers were able to get into the storm sewer and retrieve the small ducklings one by one. The baby ducks were later reunited with their mother and seem to have fully recovered from their misadventure.
