WATCH: Wheaton's Own Micah Tryba On 'The Voice'
The U of I veterinary student was selected to continue on NBC's televised singing contest

Micah Tryba's successful "blind audition" on The Voice aired on Monday night. The 24-year-old Wheaton native and University of Illinois veterinary student sang "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan.
"I chose to put aside veterinary school to really pursue music," Tryba said on the show.
Tryba impressed judges Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who both offered her the chance be on their teams for the competition. Tryba chose Shelton, who has mentored five champions in 11 seasons of the competition, more than any other coach on the show.
