Wheaton To Close Part Of Hale Street For Outdoor Dining
The temporary closure of part of Hale Street will start Friday.

WHEATON, IL — As Illinois prepares to move into phase three of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's Restore Illinois plan, Wheaton will close part of Hale Street to allow for outdoor dining at restaurants downtown. Starting Friday, Hale Street will be temporarily closed between Front and Wesley Streets, according to an update from city officials.
Two big tents will be set up on Hale to accommodate diners who want to eat al fresco as restaurants reopen. Additionally, several restaurants plan to use their private parking lots to create space for outdoor seating.
Diners are encouraged to contact restaurants ahead of time to see if reservations are required before dining out.
