Wheaton Commuter Lot 8 To Be Closed Starting Sept. 17

The construction is expected to last about two weeks.

WHEATON, IL — One of Wheaton's commuter parking lots will be closed starting Sept. 17 for maintenance work, according to a news release from city officials. The work on Parking Lot 8 will include resurfacing and repairs to curbs, storm sewers, and sidewalks in and around the lot.

Crews will begin work at 7 a.m. Monday and the project is expected to last around two weeks. During this time, commuters will still have access to Lot 6, which is just north of Lot 8. Lot 7, which is west of Lot 8, will also be open for parking.

To accommodate commuters, the city will also extend hours at four-hour street parking meters at select locations. Click the link to see which four-hour parking meters will offer extended parking.
