Bill Nieman
Bill Nieman's candidate profile states, "The Wheaton response to the current coronavirus was very appropriate. I would address a future public health crisis in essentially the same way, with modifications dictated by the nature of the specific crisis and by directions from the county and federal health authorities. Given that some businesses and residents had difficulty following the established guidelines, it might be appropriate to increase the amount of communication about public health safety measures during a future crisis."

Scott D. Weller
Scott D. Weller's candidate profile states, "I believe our town and our community did an excellent job in adjusting and minimizing service issues related to the pandemic. The most notable success was the closing of Hale Street to create a wonderful outdoor dining experience. This was wildly popular and an idea I believe deserves consideration to making more permanent during the summer months. Additionally the French Market was able to reopen with new protocols and City Hall saw very little service disruptions. I was impressed by how quickly the community adjusted."
