Wheaton History Week Starts May 2
Several events are planned to highlight Wheaton's history from May 2-12.
Residents can dig into Wheaton history by solving mysteries or researching their home's past during Wheaton Preservation Week May 2-12.
Coordinated by the City of Wheaton's Historic Commission, Preservation Week includes a variety of activities designed to highlight the city's history.
Here are a few events to mark your calendars for:
- "Landmarks of Wheaton" photography exhibit, opening May 2 at the DuPage County Historical Museum
- Home History Research Help May 3, when historic commission members and library staff help residents learn about their homes
- Lecture on Edward Dart, May 5, who designed a dozen homes and one church in Wheaton
- Lecture on Wheaton's Civil War history, May 7, by author and historian Robert Girardi
- "Discover Wheaton" Mystery Hunt, May 10, in downtown Wheaton
