Wheaton Library Hosts School Supply Drive To Aid Students In Need

The July 28 and 29 school supply drive will help People's Resource Center fill backpacks for students in need.

WHEATON, IL — The Wheaton Public Library is holding a school supply drive to help People's Resource Center fill backpacks for students in need. Donations can be dropped off at the Wheaton Public Library Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The following items are needed for the school supply drive:

  • Backpacks
  • Colored pencils
  • Compasses
  • Crayons
  • Ear bud headphones
  • Erasers
  • Glue
  • Glue sticks
  • Highlighters
  • Index cards
  • Kids' markers
  • Kids' scissors
  • Loose-leaf paper
  • Pencils
  • Pencil bags
  • Pens (blue and red)
  • Protractors
  • Rulers
  • Scientific calculators
  • Spiral notebooks
  • Two-pocket folders

The goal of the school supply drive is to fill enough backpacks for 1,000 children. Those wishing to donate with contactless delivery can order from the People's Resource Center (PRC) wishlist on Amazon or at Target and Walmart for delivery to People's Resource Center, 201 S. Naperville Rd., Wheaton.
