Wheaton Police Respond To Armed Robbery At Main Street Walgreens
A suspect carrying a hatchet fled Jan. 16 after robbing the register.
At approximately 8:54 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, the Wheaton Police Department responded to Walgreens, located at 1601 N. Main St., for the report of an armed robbery.
During the incident, one person entered the store, displayed a hatchet, and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect proceeded to reach around the counter and grabbed an unknown amount of money out of the open cash register.

The suspect is described as: a white male, 5'8" tall, slim build. The suspect was wearing a light-colored jacket with a camouflage hoodie with the hood up, black face mask, blue jeans, red Converse gym shoes, and black gloves.
The suspect fled the scene on foot eastbound on Parkway Drive.
