Wheaton Pumpkin Collection Event Planned For Saturday

Pumpkins will be collected to be composted.

WHEATON, IL — Now that Halloween has come and gone, it's time to figure out what to do with those scary old pumpkins. The City of Wheaton will host a "Pumpkin Smash" drop-off on Nov. 7 to collect and compost old pumpkins.

Decorations must first be removed from pumpkins before they can be composted. Participants are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
