Wheaton Qdoba Mexican Grill Location to Close Its Doors Friday
The Town Square Wheaton location is one of 18 Qdoba Mexican restaurants throughout the Chicago area set to close later this week.
The Qdoba Mexican Grill in Town Square Wheaton is one of 18 Chicago-area locations set to close this week, Chicago Grid reports.
The Qdoba restaurant at 2001 S. Naperville Road in Wheaton, along with 12 other suburban locations, will close at 3 p.m. Friday, according to Qdoba's Facebook page and Twitter. Five other locations in the city of Chicago will also close.
Although the Town Square Wheaton location is shutting down, the Qdoba location at 2202 N. Main Street (Main and Geneva) in Wheaton will remain open, the company confirmed on its Facebook page.
Qdoba's parent company, Jack In The Box, announced in a press release that it would close a total of 67 Qdoba restaurants by the end of the year, with plans to open new locations in 2014.
“We believe in the tremendous potential of the Qdoba brand, and we plan to continue expanding in North America, with 70 to 75 new locations expected to open system-wide in fiscal 2013, including approximately 40 company locations," Jack In The Box Chairman and CEO Linda Lang said in a release. "In 2014, we expect 60 to 70 new Qdoba restaurants to open, approximately half of which will be company locations.”
Qdoba has 647 locations nationwide, 340 of which are company-operated.
