Wheaton’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

Wheaton's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

WHEATON, IL — July 4 celebrations across the U.S. won't look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Wheaton.

Wheaton was set to have fireworks on July 3 and a parade on July 4, but both were canceled due to the coronavirus crisis. In an update, Wheaton Park District Executive Director Mike Brainard wrote that the park district is considering the possibility of moving the city's Independence Day festivities to Labor Day weekend.

Wheaton may not be hosting a fireworks show in 2020, but you can still catch a fireworks display or Fourth of July Parade in these surrounding suburbs:
