Wheaton School District Establishes Food Insecurity Fund

"The emergency fund provides resources for District 200 students and families facing food insecurity."

Thank you to the Student Excellence Foundation for, during these unprecedented times, establishing a Food Insecurity Crisis Fund, an emergency fund providing resources for District 200 students and families facing food insecurity.

In District 200, 28% of students come from low-income households. Each day, 3,310 students receive a free or reduced lunch. While the District has done an incredible job of meeting the food needs of families during the school week during this pandemic, many parents are struggling to feed their children in the evenings and on weekends.
