Wheaton Trick-Or-Treat 2020 Times, Information
Wheaton city officials said the information is subject to changed, depending on guidance from local health departments.
WHEATON, IL — The city of Wheaton recently announced its trick-or-treat times for 2020, along with some guidance for those partaking in the traditional Halloween festivities amid the pandemic. City officials said in a news release that trick-or-treat hours will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 31, but that is pending further guidance from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the DuPage County Health Department and is subject to change.
In the news release, city officials wrote that it is each residents' decision whether they want to participate in trick-or-treating. Those residents who don't want trick-or-treaters at their home can post a sign or keep their porch light off. The "no trick-or-treating" signs will be available at City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
If you plan to permit trick-or-treating at your home, the city has suggested the following safety guidelines:

- Wear a face mask or covering
- Wear gloves
- Wash your hands frequently
- Sanitize high-touch areas such as doorbells and doorknobs
For those who go trick-or-treating, Wheaton has suggested the following safety guidelines:
- Keep 6 feet of distance between you and other people
- Wear a cloth mask
- Use hand sanitizer frequently
Residents were also reminded not to trick-or-treat at homes that have a "no trick-or-treating" sign or have their porch lights off.
