Wheaton Yard Waste Pickup Starts On April 6

Yard waste pickup will start in early April and continue into December.

WHEATON, IL — The city of Wheaton will resume its annual yard waste pickup on April 6. Yard waste collection will continue throughout the spring and summer and into December.

To get your yard waste, food scraps and other organic materials picked up, place them curbside on your regularly scheduled day of trash pickup starting April 6. Yard waste items placed on the curb before this date will not be picked up.

Items must either be placed in biodegradable paper bags or plastic containers that are not bigger than 35 gallons. Containers and bags must not weigh more than 50 pounds and have to be labeled with a yard waste sticker.

If yard waste won't fit in a container, you can put branches and brush in a pile that is no bigger than 4 feet in length and 18 inches in diameter. Stacks must each have a yard waste sticker to ensure they are picked up.
