Wheaton's 2021 Summer Concerts Come To Memorial Park Bandshell

This year will be the first time the Summer Entertainment Series takes place in the renovated bandshell at Memorial Park.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton's 2021 Summer Entertainment Series will bring live music to the Memorial Park Bandshell.

The series was canceled in 2020 due to coronavirus, so this year will mark the first time the event will take place in the freshly renovated bandshell, which features a new sound system and stadium-style seating. Work on the bandshell wrapped up in July 2020.

Here's a peek at the lineup for the 2021 Wheaton Summer Entertainment Series:

  • June 5: South of Disorder 12 p.m.; Dick Diamond and the Dusters 2 p.m.; Planet Groove 6 p.m.; Hi-Infidelity 8 p.m.
  • June 25: The Wayouts 6 p.m.; American English 8 p.m.
  • June 26: Chemically Imbalanced 6 p.m.; Tributosaurus 8 p.m.
  • July 9: Whiskey Romance Band 6 p.m.; Fletcher Rockwell 8 p.m.
  • July 10: Chicago Philharmonic 6 p.m.; Chicago Philharmonic 8 p.m.
  • July 23: The Jolly Ringwalds 6 p.m.; The Ron Burgundys 8 p.m.
  • July 24: Billy Elton 6 p.m.; Midwest Dueling Pianos 8 p.m.
  • Aug. 8: Motown Nation 1 p.m.; Dancing Queen 3 p.m.
  • Sept. 10: Jagged Little Pill 6 p.m.; Goddesses of Rock 8 p.m.
  • Sept. 11: Landslide 6 p.m.; The PettyBreakers 8 p.m.

Spectators will be required to wear face masks when entering and leaving Memorial Park, in concession areas and restrooms and when they cannot maintain six feet of social distancing from groups that are in another household. As of May 13, capacity at Memorial Park will be limited to 25 percent, though that may increase or decrease in accordance with statewide changes. To encourage social distancing, the park will be split into six color-coded sections, with each section having its own entry, exit, restrooms and concessions, Wheaton Park District spokesperson Amy Seklecki told Patch Thursday.
