Actors Training Center's 2019 Summer Acting Programs

With the weather finally warming up & beginning to get everyone out of their Winter funk, it means it's about time to start thinking about Summer plans!

With camps and programs already filling - now is the perfect time to contact Actors Training Center in Wilmette regarding their summer performing arts programs for kids & teens.

2-week classes (Monday-Friday) are being offered for all ages in a variety of disciplines - so there's something for the performer in your life.

PAGE TO SCREEN for 4th-8th graders has students writing, acting, & directing their own original films straight from their imaginations! The first week is dedicated to story planning through improv & acting exercises, then taking what they create to the page & writing the script! The second week has students acting & helping behind-the-scenes as they bring their film to the life. This film will be screened for the public at a red carpet premiere in September! ACTORS BOOT CAMP for 6th-8th graders helps prepare young actors for the ABC's of acting. Through a rotation of teachers, students cover monologues, improv, on-camera, scene study, & more - learning the imperative & challenging art of working honestly & fearlessly in all mediums of acting. // July 22 - August | 9am-1pm | $795

**New!** A STORY WORTH TELLING for 6th-9th graders believes in the idea that everyone has a story worth telling - especially our youth. Using the power of their experience & their voice students will create a bond between themselves & the audience. The session culminates in an intimate storytelling jam for family & friends. // July 22 - August 2 | 2pm-6pm | $795

COMEDY LAB for 7th-12th graders has students diving into the world of comedy & satire. Physical play, improv, sketch writing, & performance technique are all covered by a rotation of industry professionals in this comedy intensive that culminates in a final performance for friends & family! // July 8 - July 19 | 2pm-6pm | $795

PROFESSIONAL SUMMER INTENSIVE for 9th-12th graders focuses on helping high school students get inside the business with a curriculum that pushes them to an industry level of professionalism. Monologue, scene study, accents/dialects, on camera, & more are all covered. Students have the opportunity to meet and ask questions to Casting Directors, Actors, & Agents - & conclude the 2 weeks with an audition-ready monologue, headshots, & a showcase for family, friends, & invited Chicago professionals.
