A Dash Of Zen Feeds Local Unaccompanied Homeless Kids During May
The Zen of Slow Cooking partners with Fill a Heart 4 Kids to provide food gift cards to homeless youth in critical need

The global pandemic has impacted the homeless population in unprecedented ways – especially youth who are living on the streets unaccompanied by any family. The founders of Lake Forest-based, the Zen of Slow Cooking, are working fast this month to provide warm meals to homeless youth in Cook and Lake Counties through the donation of fast food restaurant gift cards to Fill a Heart 4 Kids.
With the purchase of each $20 order at www.thezenofslowcooking.com during the month of May, the company will donate a $5 fast food gift card to Fill a Heart 4 Kids, providing up to four warm meals for a homeless child through $1 meal specials.
Based in Lake Forest, Fill a Heart 4 Kids (FAH4K) is a 501(c)(3) organization that helps unaccompanied homeless youth and foster children living in group facilities in Lake and Cook Counties with educational support, necessities and positive experiences to help them heal and restore their dignity – 4 Brighter Futures!
