Election Results: Wilmette Park District Referendums

Wilmette Park District voters had two referendum questions on Tuesday's election ballot.

The citizen referendum committee, Wilmette Lakefront Friends, was unsuccessful in convincing voters to approve two Wilmette Park District bond referendums related to Gillson and Langdon parks, according to unofficial results from the office of the Cook County Clerk.

On its website, the opposition group, Save Wilmette Lakefront, thanked voters for defeating the referendums. The group stated it felt the size, character and cost of the park district’s Lakefront Master Plan was too big and too costly for Wilmette residents.
