Exercise Studio Holding Fundraiser for Local Child With Tumor
The Dailey Method in Kenilworth is offering classes this month with proceeds sent to family of Devin Dixit.

“Dollars for Devin,” a GoFundMe effort to raise medical expenses for a 7-year-old Wilmette boy, has already exceeded its goal but an area business continue to show its support.
Devin Dixit was born with Neurofibromitosis 1, a disorder in which nerve tissue tumors form in the skin, brain and spinal cord. Just recently, he was diagnosed with a brainstem glioma-tumor. The tumor has caused severe headaches, dizziness and partial facial paralysis.
A GoFundMe account set to raise $35,000 for his family’s medical bills was nearing the $40,000 mark as of early afternoon on April 9.

To add to that total, The Dailey Method - an exercise studio at 410 Green Bay Road in Kenilworth - will host a fundraiser on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. They will offer two classes (Interval and Mixed Level) at a price of $45, which will include three additional TDM classes. $40 from each ticket will add to the GoFundMe account.
The idea to raise money for the Dixit family came from Devin’s teachers at Harper Elementary School.

Giving back to the community is important to The Dailey Method owners Tami Conway and Leanne Lurtzweil. In this endeavor, the business seeks to raise $2,500 for the Dixit family.
“The Dailey Method is committed to total fitness, in body, mind, and spirit. We believe healthy communities make healthy people. That’s why The Dailey Method gives back every year,” Kurtzweil said.
