Free College Financial Aid Workshops Held in February
Free college workshops will be held in the area during February.
Parents are invited to attend a free college workshop entitled Grants, Scholarships & Loans: A College Financial Aid Overview on February 3rd at 7 p.m. at the Wilmette Public Library. The workshop will also be held on the same day at the Bloomingdale Park District center. On February 18th at 6:30 p.m. it will take place at the Algonquin Area Public Library and on February 19th at the Grayslake Area Public Library at 6 p.m.
The workshops will reveal some of the biggest mistakes families are making in the college planning process that can add thousands of dollars to the cost of a student's education. They will reveal unique techniques to reduce the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) while also optimizing admissions and scholarship opportunities. Parents are encouraged to attend one of the complimentary seminars presented by the experts from My College Planning Team (www.mycollegeplanningteam.com).
