Kenilworth School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Kenilworth is August 30 for grades K-8 and September 5 for junior kindergarten. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Kenilworth School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/5: First Day of Junior Kindergarten

• 9/29: No School

October

• 10/6: No School for Students (Teachers’ Institute)
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/10: Late Arrival for Students
• 10/19: Early Dismissal for Students (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 10/20: No School for Students (Parent/Teacher Conferences)

November

• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)
• 11/27: Late Arrival for Students

December

• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/8: School Resumes, Late Arrival for Students
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

February

• 2/16: No School for Students (Teachers’ Institute Day)
