Loyola Grad Wins International Dog Sled Race
"George Costanza" helped Hugh Neff achieve greatness this year at the Yukon Quest.

An Evanston native and Loyola Academy alum won the 2016 Yukon Quest, an international dog sled race, Monday in Canada.
Hugh Neff, 48, was the first to cross the finish line in Whitehorse, Yukon after a 1,000-mile race that began in Fairbanks, Alaska, according to CLTV. Neff’s team of dogs finishes the race after 9 days, 1 hour and 25 minutes. It was the fourth fastest time anyone has achieved in the race.
The lead dog for Neff is named “George Costanza,” after the “Seinfeld” character played by Jason Alexander in the 1990s.
