New Trier Choir Opera To Present Disney's 'Newsies: The Musical'

Please join us for the Choir Opera production of Disney's Newsies The Musical! Over the last 2 months Choir Opera, Chamber Orchestra, the Technical Theatre Crew and members of Soundtraks came together to film our production of the show. We are proud of the achievement of creating a film of a full Broadway-scale production and hope you'll check it out!

Saturday, March 20, 4pm & 7pm Sunday, March 21, 1pm & 4pm

Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the news boys' and girl's expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!

2021 marks the 101 st year of the Choir Opera musical. This New Trier production will have over 125 students participating in the orchestra, cast, crew and Soundtraks. This production was filmed in the Gaffney Auditorium and will be streamed on the dates above.
