WILMETTE, IL — A new seafood restaurant and oyster bar opened its doors last month in downtown Wilmette. Pescadero held its grand opening at 1167 Wilmette Ave., at the corner of Wilmette and Central avenues, with four days of specials and raffles from April 18 to April 21.
The menu includes a raw bar with four types of oysters, ceviche, scallops, wood-grilled gulf shrimp, Alaskan king crab legs and a variety of fish. In addition to burgers and fish tacos, patrons can order a fried oyster po boy, baked oysters or lobster sliders. Other than seafood, Pescadero offers a selection of salads, short rib, steak and roasted chicken options.
The restaurant has a daily happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m. with oysters for $1.50 and $5 drinks. Early online reviews have been popular, with patrons praising the food and service and promising to return.
