Persimmon Owner Creates 'Urban Bizarre' in Wilmette

Pamela Matiosian, who previously owned Urban Totem in Evanston for 12 years, has launched a new business venture, Persimmon, that is a combination of an art workshop, gallery and Turkish cafe, reports the Daily North Shore.
Matiosian told the paper she felt inspired to open her unique store, located at 1167 Wilmette Ave., after chatting up the locals during recent visit to Istanbul.
