Police Blotter: Man Charged With DUI Hits Fence, Tree, Guard Rail, and Another Vehicle
His vehicle left the roadway in the 1900 block of Wilmette Avenue.
Jonathan A. Matthews, 21, 134 Park Ave, Wilmette, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 2 for driving under the influence of alcohol in the 1900 block of Wilmette Avenue, police said.
According to police, Matthews’ vehicle traveled eastbound on Wilmette Avenue and left the roadway in the 1900 block, causing damage to a fence. The vehicle then continued into the parking lot at 399 Ridge Road causing damage to a tree, guard rail and a vehicle parked in the lot, police said.
Matthews failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the police station where he was issued citations and later released on an I-bond, police said.
