Volunteers Sign Up To Help Local Seniors Get Vaccinated
The village and the Women's Club of Wilmette launched the Community Caretaker program Friday to provide sign-up and transportation help.

WILMETTE, IL — Village officials kicked off a new volunteer program Friday to help support elderly and disabled Wilmette residents to access COVID-19 vaccines.
With vaccination appointments primarily being arranged through the internet, vulnerable residents may lack the technological skills to schedule a time to receive vaccines for which they qualify and want.
To help vulnerable seniors, village officials have launched the Community Caretaker program in partnership with the Women's Club of Wilmette to identify residents who need assistance.
