Wilmette Obituary: Grant Thomas Nelson, 34

Grant Thomas Nelson died unexpectedly Tuesday at the age of 34. He was a profound lover of music and animals with a quick wit and infectious laugh. He will be greatly missed by extended family, friends and coworkers.

Grant was the beloved son of Leonard and Tina Nelson, the cherished brother of Todd Nelson and Alex Nelson, the proud grandson of Sydelle (the late Myron) Nelson of Chicago, and the late Don and Helen Thompson of Des Moines, Iowa, the adored nephew of Dr. Allan Nelson and Dr. Robert Nelson, the dearest cousin of Mike and Steve Weinberg, Rachel White and Mike Nelson.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 12 noon at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road) in Skokie. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to NAMI Cook County North Suburban or The Anti-Cruelty Society would be appreciated.
