The Wilmette Park District and Landscape Architects for the Maple Park Playground Renovation project have spent time gathering and analyzing the public feedback received during the project’s launch in April. This feedback includes public input from the initial on-site public meeting, and a community survey sent to over 23,000 contacts on April 9 which sought to determine preferred types of play equipment and whether or not to keep the existing bridge.

The collected information has since been used to help guide the Landscape Architects in developing several conceptual proposals, which are ready to be shared with the public for further discussion. This discussion will take place at the Round 2 On-Site Public Meeting on May 5 from 6-7 P.M. in Maple Park at 398 Maple Avenue in Wilmette. The goal of this meeting is to identify which proposals receive the strongest public support, and for what reason.

We encourage anyone who participated in the previous meeting and all new-comers to attend the Round 2 meeting. Register for the meeting or learn about the project on our website at: wilmettepark.org/maple-park-playground-renovation-project.Register for the meetingLearn about the project
