Criminal Damage

At 3:50 p.m. on Jan 17, the CTA reported unknown offender(s) vandalized a train car at 349 Linden with paint sometime between 2 a.m. on Jan. 16 and 3 p.m. on Jan. 17. A can of spray paint was recovered at the scene.

An employee of the Wilmette Recreation Center at 3000 Glenview reported on Jan. 9 that unknown offender(s) put graffiti on a first floor men’s bathroom stall sometime between 10 a.m. on Jan. 9 and 10:03 a.m. on Jan. 11.

Fraud-Deception

On Jan. 13, a complainant reported that for the past three weeks she was in correspondence with a travel agent from Beach Bum Vacation regarding a family trip she wanted to take. Several emails were exchanged with no issues. On this date, she received an email from a subject claiming to be the same travel agent who told her to wire $6,442.33 to a credit union account. The complainant called the travel agent and asked if she received the money and the travel agent stated she never requested any money.

Identity Theft

On Jan. 14, a victim reported unknown offender(s) used her personal identity to open fraudulent accounts with Gap Visa, HH Gregg and Bloomingdales.

On Jan. 12, a resident reported someone had unlawfully used his Visa card to make online purchases.

Marijuana Possession

Jeremy Williams, 19, of 900 Laramie Ave., Glenview, was stopped at 11 p.m. on Jan. 12 at 3000 Old Glenview Rd. for traffic offenses when a small amount of marijuana was recovered. He was issued a local ordinance ticket.

Retail Theft

On Jan. 16, officer’s responded to the Walgreens at 3200 Lake for a retail theft that occurred between 7:33 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The officer observed two males in a vehicle. The driver then sped off away from the officer as two Walgreens employees stated they were involved in a retail theft. The vehicle exited westbound on Lake at a high rate of speed. Another officer attempted to stop the vehicle with lights and siren activated. After a short pursuit, the vehicle fled south bound on I-94. The vehicle was later found to be stolen out of Palatine with the offenders known.

Theft

A resident reported that she had taken the Pace bus from a stop at 710 Green Bay Road to school and realized a few hours later her phone was lost/stolen. The incident occurred between 7 a.m. on Jan. 14 and 12:52 p.m. Jan. 16.

A resident reported an unknown offender(s) took his locked bike from the bike rack at the Linden CTA station on Jan. 15. The bike was locked at 8 a.m. and gone when the victim returned at 7 p.m.

Traffic

Victor Jamarr Daniels, 37, of 8022 S. Artesian, Chicago, was arrested at 5:54 p.m. at 3200 Lake on Jan. 16 and charged with driving with a suspended license. He was released on bond pending a court date.

Marquise D. Brown, 27, of 4373 Centennial Ct., Gurnee, was stopped at 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 15 at I-94 and Golf Road for a minor traffic violation and was found to have a revoked license and a valid warrant in Coles County. He was processed for the arrest and posted bond for the warrant. He was given an I-bond for the traffic arrest.
