Due to popular demand, the Village of Winnetka is extending the Holiday Lights Recycling program. All types of holiday string-type lights will be accepted at the Public Works facility, 1390 Willow Road, between 7am and 5pm weekdays. The Village cannot accept garland, live greens, wreathes, or other non-recyclables. The last day to drop off lights is now Friday, Feb. 25. The Village of Winnetka would like to commend its community members for their efforts to keep Winnetka green by keeping these recyclable materials out of the waste stream.
