Sunset Ridge School students designed one of a kind lacquered "Hope House" pins to raise money for the victims of earthquakes and a tsunami in Japan. With the help of art teacher, Lynn Horne, students gave up lunch and recess time as well as art class time to work on these very special pins. Teachers pitched in to help with the finishing touches of sealing the pins with lacquer. Our students' work raised a total of $1,614.00. The suggested donation for each pin was $3.00. If anyone would like to purchase more pins, they are on sale in the Sunset Ridge School office until the end of the school year. In addition, Sunset Ridge School's Student Council raised additional funds through a Bake Sale they hosted as part of EVENING WITH THE EAGLES, an annual spring open house.
