Arrest Made After 5 Trespass Reports

The following reports were provided by the Winnetka Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.

Residential Burglary
On Oct. 15, a resident on the 400 block of Linden Street reported someone forcibly entered her residence and removed several pieces of jewelry, according to police. Amount of loss is unknown at the time of this report.

Stolen Car
On Oct. 15, a resident on the 1200 block of Cherry Street reported his 2012 Ford Expedition was stolen from the driveway, police say. The car thieves may have also entered a second vehicle parked on the driveway and rummaged through its contents, according to police. Amount of loss exceeds $10,000.00.

Vehicular Burglary
On Oct. 15, a resident on the 400 block of Glendale Avenue reported that someone entered two unsecured vehicles parked on his driveway and took about $15.00, according to police. 

Criminal Trespass
On Oct. 15, five people reported someone had trespassed into their vehicle during the night, according to police. Three of these reports occurred on Cherry Street, police say.

Criminal Trespass Arrest
On Oct. 17, Winnetka Police arrested Erik Rivas-Castro, 20, of Glendale Heights, for trespassing on private property, according to police.
