Best Burger In Winnetka, Glencoe Area: Readers Pick Beinlich's
Winnetka-Glencoe Patch readers say the the 71-year-old burger joint is the top spot in the area.

GLENCOE, IL — We asked Winnetka-Glencoe Patch readers to share their recommendations for the best burgers in the area last week.
The results are in, and one spot, located just outside Glencoe village limits, emerged as the clear reader's favorite.
Charlie Beinlich's Food & Tap, 290 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook, received about a quarter of the votes in our unscientific survey.

Respondents praised its "consistently great tasting" burgers and "deliciously fresh meat."
Beinlich's was founded in 1950 by Glencoe natives Charlie and Eleanor Beinlich, according to its website.

"Little has changed in this iconic burger joint and it is still run the way Charlie intended it to, with good food and good spirits," it says. "Beinlich's, as it's known by the locals, has stayed in the family and is on its third generation of owners."
