Christmas 2020 Grocery Store Hours: Grand Food Center, Foodstuffs

WINNETKA, IL — Christmas is likely to look different this year as millions of Americans opt to stay home, marking the holiday with smaller celebrations amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Smaller celebrations, however, don’t necessarily mean we’ll bypass holiday traditions. And when it comes to Christmas dinner, a pandemic is certainly unlikely to stop us from forgetting that one key ingredient needed to make a perfect holiday meal.

Have no fear — there are some grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for those emergency and last-minute shopping trips from Winnetka and Glencoe. Due to COVID-19, most retailers have delivery or curbside pickup options.

Here are the hours for grocery stores that will be open around town, along with a list of those that won’t:

ALDI: Stores will be open Christmas Eve, but hours will vary by location; closed on Christmas Day.

Costco: Most stores will be open limited hours Christmas Eve, and all stores will be closed Christmas Day. Call ahead to confirm hours with your local store.

• 2900 Patriot Boulevard, Glenview

CVS: Most locations are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Day.

• 1515 Sheridan Road, Wilmette
• 936 Willow Road, Northbrook

The Fresh Market: Stores will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve. All stores are closed Christmas Day.

• 3232 Lake Ave. at Edens Plaza, Wilmette

Foodstuffs: Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Closed Christmas Day.

The Grand Food Center: Open from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day and from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Boxing Day
