The Woman’s Board of the Community House hosted a kick-off event for The 2019 Antiques + Modernism Show on Thursday, September 19, at Vivid Art Gallery, 895 Green Bay Road in Winnetka. Guests enjoyed viewing the Gallery’s art collection and hearing about plans for the annual A+M Show while enjoying an array of light bites and libations.

“We’re pleased to launch this year’s A+M Show, the main fundraiser for the Community House, with such a supportive community partner,” said Kim Ronan, board member and co-chair of the 2019 A+M show. “Launching this year’s A+M show among the striking paintings of featured landscape artist Lucie Phillips and local artist Harold Bauer, a former symphony conductor, is an auspicious start for this year’s benefit.”

In 2009, the Winnetka Antiques Show and the Modernim Show were fused to create the current A+M Show. Esteemed national dealers showcase curated seletions of American, European and Asian antiques as well as Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Mid-Century Modern design pieces. A+M offers a wide variety of furniture, jewelry, rugs, fine art, and decorative items at an array of price points.

All A+M proceeds support the programs and services of the Community House, a non-tax supported organization. The building at 620 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka was placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in August 2007.
