Dear Readers: This Is Farewell, But... Say Hi To Your New Editor

Dear Winnetka-Glencoe Patch readers,

This isn't the newsiest thing happening in your neighborhood today, and I hope I haven't already lost some of you in the first half of this sentence, but here's a piece of news that you should know.

I'm moving on to another Patch site in California next week, and while I'm sad to leave, I am so excited to introduce you to the next Winnetka-Glencoe Patch editor.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is

She will be taking over the reins Monday and I know she's going to do a great job. Please welcome her to the community as you have so warmly welcomed me.

I'll keep this short and sweet because packing up my apartment has taken up most of my time of late and I can't follow Carrie's fantastic farewell video...

Thank you so much for talking to me, emailing with me, recognizing me ("It's the Patch girl!" is one of my favorite sentences.), saying hi to me, running into me, and telling me your stories this year. Thank you for welcoming Patch into your computers, your inboxes and your lives. I hope that at least in some small way, the site has enriched your life. It has absolutely enriched mine.

Lastly, one small request. If you like/love/have lukewarm feelings toward/adore the Patch site in your town (hopefully it's this one), please consider showing it to one of your friends or family members or neighbors who doesn't know about us yet. They don't even have to live in Winnetka, Glencoe or Northfield. We are all over the country now.
