ICYMI: Dog Found In Woods Gets New Home, Canine Siblings

This cute pup was found in a crate in the woods on Thanksgiving. The owners couldn't be found, so "Snickers" now has a new, loving family.

WINNETKA, IL — Winnetka police have found a home for this cute pup after finding it in the woods. Now named Snickers, this pup was found on Thanksgiving in a crate in Crow Island Woods.

We have been overwhelmed this past week with the outpouring of support for this sweet puppy," Winnetka police said in a Facebook post. "We are so happy to report he has been adopted by a local couple."

Not only did Snickers find a new home, but he's got a brother and sister and is fitting in great, police said on their Facebook page.

The original owners have not been found, but police are pleased with how this turned out.
