Dog Rescued From Sewer Pipes Underneath Glencoe Golf Course
Police and fire personnel teamed up with country club staff to safely recover a dog that had gotten lost in a drainage system.

GLENCOE, IL — A combined effort from country club staff the Glencoe Department of Public Safety rescued a dog from the pipes underneath a golf course Sunday.
Around 12:14 p.m. police and fire personnel were dispatched to the Skokie Country Club where a dog named Hendrix had fallen into a sewer drainage system, according to Glencoe's combined police and fire department.
The dog had become lost inside 18-inch pipes underneath the golf course in the 600 block of Park Avenue, according to Deputy Chief Richard Weiner.

Weiner said Four members of the department's fire shift and three from its police shift teamed up with club personnel to retrieve the pooch from the pipes.
Hendrix was safely rescued at 1:20 p.m. and the department posted an image of the dog and its owner to social media reporting the dog was in fine condition.
