The following information comes from the Glencoe, Kenilworth, Northfield, Wilmette and Winnetka police departments as a record of police activity and incidents reported to the police. Criminal charges merely represent accusations by the state, and county prosecutors often choose to drop or reduce them. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Anyone arrested is innocent unless later proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

INCIDENTS
VANDALISM
Someone spray painted a message on some fencing near Old Green Bay Road and Walden Drive at some point prior to 8 a.m. Sept. 30.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Several surveying markers were stolen from near the intersection of Old Green Bay Road and Walden Drive at some point prior to 9 a.m. Oct. 1.

FORGED CHECK
A Vernon Avenue resident reported on the afternoon of Oct. 1 that someone had intercepted one of their checks and altered it in an attempt to fraudulently cash it.
STOLEN CAR
Someone stole an unlocked Infiniti after it was left unlocked with a key inside in the 300 block of South Avenue, police were told on the morning of Oct. 5.

IDENTITY THEFTS
- Someone used the identity of an Oakdale Avenue resident to fraudulently obtain a Key Bank debit card prior to Oct. 1.
- A Hawthorn Avenue resident reported on the morning of Oct. 3 that someone had used their identity to apply for unemployment insurance benefits.
- Someone used the identity of a Brookvale Terrace resident to apply for fraudulent unemployment insurance benefits, police were told on Oct. 5.
THEFTS OF LOST/UNATTENDED ITEMS
- Someone stole an iPad from inside a bag left unattended in the 200 block of Tudor Court prior to 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 4.
- A Cherry Tree Lane resident reported on the afternoon of Oct. 5 that they had left a cell phone in the car of a driver for an app-based ride-hailing company.
CAR BURGLARIES
- Someone burglarized an unlocked Chevy SUV in the 300 block of Sunrise Court on the night of Oct. 4 or early morning hours of Oct. 5. Nothing was listed as stolen at the time of the report.
- Someone stole a garage door opener from an unlocked Jeep in the 200 block of Mary Street at some point prior to 6 p.m. Oct. 5.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Michael Anthony Ellis Jr., 25, of the 4100 block of Lawndale Street, Lyons, was arrested around 10 p.m. on Oct. 3 after striking a stop sign while exiting the Edens Expressway at Dundee Road. He was pulled over on Forestway Drive and charged with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol due to a license suspension, driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater, leaving the scene of a crash. Police also issued him citations for illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, failure to give information after a crash, no insurance, damage to property, disobeying a stop sign and speeding.

- On the afternoon of Sept. 29, a Sheridan Road resident reported discovering that someone had used their identity in an attempt to receive unemployment insurance benefits.
NORTHFIELD
INCIDENT
IDENTITY THEFTS
- A Woodland Lane North resident reported on the afternoon of Sept. 28 that someone had used their identity in an attempt to fraudulently receive unemployment insurance benefits.
- An employee of a West Frontage Road business reported on the afternoon of Sept. 29 that someone had used their identity in an fraudulent unemployment insurance benefits application.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
During the night of Sept. 30 or early morning hours of Oct. 1, someone damaged a lawn chair and turned on the faucet to a hose in the front yard of a home in the 1700 block of Winnetka Road.
THEFT
Someone stole a small statue worth about $335 from a home in the 500 block of Thornwood Lane between March and Oct 1.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON
A resident in the 200 block of Shadowood Lane reported that someone was walking around the exterior of their home around 8 p.m. on Oct. 1. Officers arrived and learned the person was the son of the homeowner.
CAR BURGLARIES
- Someone stole about $100 worth of foreign currency from a car parked in a driveway in the 1600 block of Harding Road on the night of Oct. 2 or early morning hours of Oct. 3. Police did not specify if the car was locked.
- A resident in the first block of Meadowview Drive reported on the morning of Oct. 3 that someone had burglarized their car during the prior night, stealing about $3 from inside. Police did not specify if the car was locked.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Josefina M. Camacho, 38, of the 5800 block of W. Waveland Avenue, Chicago, and Irina M. Pavchinskaya-Cedano, 35, of 1100 block of Castilian Court, Glenview, were arrested at the Northfield Police Department on the morning of Oct. 1 and charged with felony theft in connection with the reported theft of more than $83,500 from an unspecified Northfield business in 2017. Patch has requested more information from village officials.

CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole an unspecified amount of cash from an unlocked car parked in the 3100 block of Sprucewood Road between 6 p.m. Sept. 27 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 28.
IDENTITY THEFT
Greenleaf Avenue resident reported on Sept. 29 that someone had used their identity to open an unauthorized cell phone account sometime between January and May.
VANDALISM
- Someone spray painted several words and pictures onto a storage garage in the 3600 block of Lake Avenue between 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23 and 11:45 a.m. Sept. 24.
- Someone used a red marker to deface property in a condo building in the 1100 block of Greenleaf Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 26
THEFTS
- A political sign was stolen reported from the front yard of a home in the 500 block of Laramie Avenue between 4 p.m. Sept. 24 and 9 a.m. Sept. 25.
- Someone stole a bike that had been left unattended and unlocked on a bike rack in the 700 block of Michigan Avenue between 8:40 p.m. Sept. 27 and 11:40 a.m. Sept. 28.
- Parts of a bicycle locked to a rack in the 300 block of Linden Avenue were stolen from the frame between 4 p.m. Sept. 26 and 7 a.m. Sept. 27.
- Someone stole two signs from the yard of a home in the 2100 block of Wilmette Avenue between 8 p.m. Sept. 27 and 12:30 p.m. Sept. 28.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Alexander D. Konstantopoulos, 34, of the 1500 block of Winnetka Road, Winnetka, was arrested around 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 26 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after an officer found him asleep behind the wheel of a car parked in a driveway with its engine running and reported he appeared to be intoxicated.
Cory M. Cole, 43, of the 900 block of Green Bay Road, Wilmette, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 in his block of residence and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater. He was also issued citations for speeding, improper lane usage and failure to signal.
WINNETKA
INCIDENTS
STOLEN CAR
Someone stole an unlocked car from beside a garage in the 1000 block of Ash Street between 7 p.m. Oct. 4 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 5. A key and a wallet had been left inside. The reported loss was greater than $5,000.
IDENTITY THEFTS
- A Fairview Avenue resident reported that someone had used their identity to fraudulently apply for unemployment insurance benefits on Sept. 20.
- A Bryant Avenue resident reported on Oct. 2 that someone had used their identity in an attempt to fraudulently acquire inemployment insurance benefits.
CAR BURGLARIES
- Someone damaged the passenger side window of a car parked in the lot of the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center at 530 Hibbard Road and stole a purse from the front seat area between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 30. The combined cost of the repair and purse was $900.
- A purse was also stolen from the lot of the Winnetka Ice Arena at 390 Hibbard Road at between 3 and 3:35 p.m. on Sept. 30 after someone broke in through the passenger side window for a loss of $60.
- Between 2:45 and 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 30, someone damaged the rear passenger side window of a car parked at Carleton Washburne School, 515 Hibbard Road, and stole a backpack containing cash from inside for a combined cost of $650.
- Around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 2, someone got into an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 900 block of Pine Street and may have stolen a key fob from inside.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Jose O. Sanchez, 23, of the 3000 block of Sheridan Lane, Waukegan, was arrested around 8 a.m. on Oct. 3 in the 1000 block of Gage Street after officers called to the area of the train station for a report someone had started a bonfire there. They discovered Sanchez had an active arrest warrant issued by the Lake County Sheriff's Office stemming from a charge of misdemeanor battery in July.
