Dundee Road Repairs Close Lanes Over Edens Expressway In Glencoe
Project engineers said the traffic pattern is expected to shift at the end of July and work will be complete by mid-November.
GLENCOE, IL — Lane closures on Dundee Road over the Edens Expressway in Glencoe are anticipated to continue for more than two additional months, but intermittent overnight closures lanes on the expressway are scheduled to be complete by the end of the week, according to a spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The project includes a new bridge deck and the installation of new concrete abutments and expansion joints in the area. Its first phase, expected to be complete by the end of the month, includes the closure of the outside lanes of Dundee Road in both directions.
Next month, the inside lanes of Dundee Road will be closed in both directors for another six weeks. The project remains on track to be complete by the middle of November, according to the spokesperson.

Drivers were asked to be alert to workers and construction equipment, obey posted speed limits and pay close attention to signs and flaggers in work zones.
