Election 2021: Contested Races For New Trier, D-29 School Boards

A pair of independent candidates is challenging the caucus-backed slate in New Trier High School District 203.

Six candidates are seeking four available seats on the New Trier High School District 203 school board, while four challengers are competing for three school board seats in Sunset Ridge School District 29.

WINNETKA, IL — Voters will select new school board members in New Trier Township High School District 203 and Sunset Ridge School District 29 in Tuesday's municipal elections.

Races for village board in Glencoe, Northfield and Winnetka are uncontested.

There are six candidates seeking four available seats on the NTHS board. Four of them have been endorsed by the local school board caucus and are campaigning jointly as the Top 4 New Trier slate.

Two others are running independently, including former Republican nominee for 18th District state representative and current candidate for Wilmette Library Board Julie Cho and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Chad Prodromos.
