Gerald Franks, of Glencoe, passed away Wednesday at the age of 96. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise and the loving father of Daniel (Ronda) Franks, David Franks, and Debbie (Barry) Lipsett.
He was the proud grandfather of Joanna (Matthew) Sackel, Mari (Daniel) Greenberger, Aaron (Sari) Lipsett and Jason Lipsett, the loving great grandfather of Joshua, Michael, Tovi and Noa, the loving brother of the late Ruth Asch, the cherished uncle of Evelyn (John) Asch, Tom (Susanna) Asch, and James (Jane) Asch, the devoted great-uncle of Nathaniel, Rachel, Alice, and Gabriel, the fond step-father of Ken (Jill) Levin, Nancy (Neal) McGrath and Marc Levin and the loving step-grandfather of Noah, Erica, Matthew, Robert, Brittany, and Brooke.
A service will be held Sunday 10 a.m. at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd., (at Niles Center Road) Skokie.
