Hadassah Holds Annual Summer Camp July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th

Hadassah Chicago-North Shore (CNS) will hold its 2021 Summer Camp on Wednesday mornings in July, beginning July 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th at 10:15 AM (CST) announced Hadassah CNS President Francine Ephraim. The annual event, which explores and reexamines Jewish life over four days, will be held at Temple Beth Hillel Bnai Emunah, 3220 Big Tree Lane, Wilmette, IL 60091 and be available online through Zoom. The Hadassah CNS 2021 Summer Camp series reimagines Jewish life with four days of engaging topics including: “The Changing of The Guard in Israel;” “Adapting Jewish Traditions to Today’s World;” “The Popularity of Israel Television;” and “Joyful Sound” with the bluegrass band Nefesh Mountain.

Special guests include Daniel Aschheim, Consul for Public Diplomacy, Consulate of Israel-Midwest; Francine Ephraim, President, Hadassah CNS; Roberta Rosenthal KWAL, author of Remix Judaism: Preserving Tradition in A Diverse World; Cindy Stern, Executive Director, Chicago Festival of Israel Cinema; and the bluegrass music group Nefesh Mountain.

“In our first in-person event of the year, the 2021 Summer Camp series invites adults to explore and enjoy Jewish life reimagined,” states Hadassah CNS President Francine Ephraim. “Who says grownups can’t have fun this summer?”

“This year’s Summer Camp is about reimagining Jewish life and there’s something for everyone,” states Rachel Sapinsley, Education Vice President, Hadassah CNS. “What I’m most excited about is that we start out addressing more serious issues and end up with a joyful finale of Nefesh Mountain.”

Registration is $18 per session or $54 for all four sessions.
