harper + ash Hosts First "Come To Our Table" Events
Highland Park's Newest Home & Design Destination Welcomes Inspired Generations & Bright Bowls to Kick-off its Series of Inspired Events

harper and ash, Highland Park’s newest design destination, proudly kicked off its “Come To Our Table” event series in October with two inspiring events. On October 10, the store hosted a Trunk Show featuring wonderful wares from Inspired Generations. Inspired Generations began with the idea and creation of the “The Serving Peace,” a modern chip & dip platter in the shape of the iconic peace sign. Today the label boasts more than 400 iconic pieces, many of which were available exclusively at harper and ash for this one-time-only event. Guests perused and purchased pieces from Inspired Generations at the first of harper and ash’s “Come to Our Table” events.
The event series continued on October 17 when harper and ash welcomed Highland Park native Lindsay Meltzer, the founder and creative force behind Bright Bowls. Meltzer regaled guests with anecdotes about her journey to a healthy, vegan lifestyle. Discouraged by the selection, in even the healthiest of stores, she decided to start making her own creations at home for herself and her family of five. To impress her toughest critics, children ages 2 to 6, she knew her dishes had to be as beautiful as they were beneficial. Using only organic, gluten and dairy free ingredients, Meltzer created beautiful bowls that boasted the healthiest and freshest ingredients disguised in distinctive designs. Soon family and friends were placing orders for her creations and thus Bright Bowls was born. In addition to learning about the birth of Bright Bowls, guests watched as Meltzer created one of her signature bowls in harper and ash’s kitchen and had a chance to sample the final product. Guests left the event with full bellies and excitement for harper and ash’s future “Come to Our Table” events.
“We were thrilled to kick-off our event series with these two dynamic events and look forward to hosting many more” says Pam Hillman, owner of harper and ash. “Each of our ‘Come to Our Table’ events aligns with our mission to enhance customers lives and nourish their souls – whether it be through distinguished designs or one-of-a-kind creations, like Bright Bowls.”
harper and ash will continue to inspire shoppers with an exciting line-up of workshops, trunk shows and informative demos from local artisans and world-renowned brands. Mark your calendars for more “Come to Our Table” events in 2019, including:
