Housewares Collection Drive In Winnetka This Saturday

New Trier Township and the Winnetka Presbyterian Church are sponsoring a housewares collection for the Chicago Furniture Bank, a not-for-profit organization that provides dignity, stability and comfort to Chicagoans leaving temporary shelters and moving into permanent housing with few household belongings. The event will be held Saturday April 10, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.at the Winnetka Presbyterian Church, 1255 Willow Road in Winnetka.

Plates, Bowls, Glasses/Cups

Utensils

Pots, Pans

Small Appliances

Lamps

Artwork

We ask that all donated items are clean and in good condition. Providing the most dignified experience for furniture bank clients is of the utmost importance. Wrapping or boxing your items is encouraged.

We cannot accept fine china, knick-knacks, crystal or decorative items.

This is a contactless donation event. Staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Your gifts will be taken from the hatchback or trunk of the vehicle in the church parking lot at Willow and Hibbard Roads in Winnetka.
