WINNETKA, IL — The economic impact of the new coronavirus has been unprecedented. Record numbers of workers have been laid off, and many businesses have been forced to shutter under the statewide stay-at-home order aimed at slowing the spread of the virus.

Small businesses that depend on foot traffic and in-person customer interactions have been especially hard hit. Some local businesses are still offering delivery, pick-up, remote services and transactions at a distance to continue to serve the Winnetka, Glencoe and Northfield communities.

Last week, we put a call out on Winnetka-Glencoe Patch to local businesses with a request to provide an update on their current status, offer details on how customers can continue to patronize them and to let the community know how they can best help during these challenging times.

In an effort to help readers support businesses that serve the Winnetka area community, Patch will keep the directory online for the duration of the COVID-19 crisis. Businesses may update their status at any time. To help support our local merchants and business owners, share the article or a link to the guide with neighbors, via email and social media. The businesses need our support.

Patch will be rolling out a number of new initiatives and resources to help local business owners in the coming days, so stay tuned and please stay safe. Representatives of Glencoe, Northfield and Winnetka businesses that have not yet been listed in the guide may fill out this form.
