Loyola Holds Off New Trier Comeback To Win Football Playoff
The showdown between the North Shore neighbors was decided by just 3 points after the Ramblers took an early lead.
WILMETTE, IL — Loyola Academy defeated neighborhood rival New Trier 35-32 on Saturday at Hoerster Field in Wilmette. The Trevians scored 22 unanswered points after falling behind 35-10, but it wasn't enough to pull off an upset. New Trier ended its season with a 6-5 record.
The Ramblers improved to 10-1 on the season with the win. They host Hinsdale Central Saturday, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
